FAQ!
Q: What's the minimum age?
A: Youngsters confidence can easily be knocked and so we suggest a minimum age of 8, although we're happy to teach younger children in a group session if it is soley your family learning. This way we know that everybody in the group will understand why the youngest get a disproportionate amount of our time.
Q: Am I too big or too old?
A: Vitually anybody can learn to surf and we have taught people of all shapes and sizes. We have wetsuits and boards to suit everybody. Our oldest customer to date has been 76 years young. Customers over 90 will be taught free of charge as long as they bring along a parent!
Q: Will I get cold?
A: All of our wetsuits are high quality season appropriate and we always have boots, gloves and hoods available for those who feel the cold more. We have winter suits available from K2 childrens size suits up to xxl adults.
Q: How many lessons will it take for me to get to my feet?
A: It differs from person to person but about 90% will be up on their feet on the first session.
Q: What if there's no waves?
A: We will try to find an alternative time to arrange your lesson but we're always happy to give you a full refund if it's flat. North Devon is one of the most consistent surfing areas in the UK and we rarely have to cancel more than a handful each year.
Q: Where and when do we meet up?
A: We operate from the bottom right hand corner of the car park at Putsborough Sands. Lessons start at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Please turn up a few minutes before the session so we can kit you out.
