Barefoot Surf School is a BSA approved centre based in beautiful North Devon (near the classic surf beaches of Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton and Putsborough). Lessons are held at Putsborough Sands.

All of our instructors are BSA qualified, carry Surf Life Saving Association surfing coach or Beach Lifeguard awards and are full members of Sports Coach UK, the national federation of sports coaches.

Specialising in beginners, Barefoot put enormous emphasis on every learner having a great experience picking up the techniques of this exhilarating sport. Under the leadership of owner and head coach Nigel Brown, every session is tailored to individual needs.

With maximum numbers of 6 in a group the ratio of instructor to learner enables even those with low confidence the environment to reach their potential. Suitable for all ages from 8 to 80. Every group also has a water's edge 'spotter' - The only school in Europe, that we know of who do!
